Chogoria Rout Trek is the most popular route up Mount Kenya, and is in fact probably
followed by many of all climbers; it can be fun to come together with climbers from all
over the world. It has a well-defined path, which has been well set out resulting to
a ‘climber friendly trekking experience’. Chogoria Trek is a very scenic route with
good views of batian peak and excellent chances for viewing wildlife.

Day 1: Nairobi-Meru Bandas 2950 Metres
Depart early in the morning pick up from Nairobi city at 5:00 AM driving though Nairobi-Thika super highway,viewing of pineapple plantations tea farms coffee plantations ,arrive for the first night stay in mountains hut Mt Meru Bandas for dinner and overnight
Day 2: Mount Meru Bandas-Lake Ellis 3470 mtrs
After breakfast start the climb as one take a view of the mountain valleys
as you walk the tracks up have thick forest vegetations through giant heather and
chances of seeing wildlife like the Columbus monkeys as you trek where the path drops to cross a stream then follows the broad ridge lake Ellis for lunch and dinner, sleep in mobile tents enjoy hot dinner
Day 3 Lake Ellis-Lake Michaelson 3953 Metres
Breakfast decent through the valleys to get to Lake Michealson for dinner night stay
One of the most beautiful mountain lake especially early morning sunrise
Days 4 Shipton 4200 Metres
Arrive and night over in shipton enjoy hot dinner sleep in mobile tents
Day 5 Old Moses 3300 Metres
Arrive and night over in Old Moses mount hut, enjoy hot dinner
Day 6 Old Moses -Sirimon Gate
After early morning breakfast, descend for 3-4 hours to the Sirimon Park gate to catch a vehicle for the return journey to Nairobi arriving around 1600-1700 hours
