Morning:

Visit Nairobi National Park (6:20 AM – 10:30 AM)
Nairobi National Park is unique because it is located just a few kilometers from the city center. Here, you can see a variety of wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, lions, buffalo, and various bird species. The park offers stunning views of the Nairobi skyline in the background, creating a unique contrast between urban life and nature.
Giraffe Centre (10:30 AM – 11:30 AM)
The Giraffe Centre is dedicated to the endangered Rothschild giraffe. You’ll have the opportunity to feed and interact with these gentle giants while learning about giraffe conservation. The center also has a raised platform where you can get up close to the giraffes.
Late Morning / Early Afternoon:
Nairobi Safari Walk (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)
The Nairobi Safari Walk is located within Nairobi National Park. It is a walking trail that provides a chance to see wildlife in a more intimate setting. You’ll walk through a variety of habitats, from savannah to wetlands, and encounter species like antelopes, hyenas, and various bird species.
Lunch (1:30 PM – 2:30 PM)
After your morning activities, you’ll head to a local restaurant for a delicious Kenyan lunch. Options include traditional Kenyan dishes like nyama choma (grilled meat) or ugali (maize porridge). Many tours offer lunch at a local restaurant or even a picnic spot in the park.
Afternoon:
Visit an Orphanage or Animal Sanctuary (3:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
In the afternoon, you can visit one of Nairobi’s well-known orphanages or animal sanctuaries: The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Orphanage: This sanctuary is famous for its elephant orphanage, where orphaned elephants are cared for and rehabilitated before being released back into the wild. Visitors can watch a public feeding session and learn about elephant conservation efforts. Kazuri Beads and Pottery: Alternatively, you can visit to a local workshop like Kazuri, where you can see pottery being made and learn about social enterprises that help women in the community.
